For many Ann Taylor is the go to mall-based store for everyday work wear, and, why not, it’s one of the only clothing chains that focus on misses sizes (versus juniors). We give you the low down on how to shop the store.
How to Shop Ann Taylor
More than a retailer
Ann Taylor likens itself to a personal stylist, going a step beyond merely offering clothes into providing advice, ideas and genuine consultation in-stores and online. They put a lot of emphasis into it, so take advantage of it. Peer at the online lookbook, ask the sales associates for help and shop the various collections. If you do, you’ll feel much better about your purchase and experience overall.
Style for students
Once you get to shopping, you may find that prices are a little outside your budget, especially if you’re a student who’s trying to build a wardrobe for that all-important first job. Ann Taylor believes in you, and to show their support, they offer 20% off to students on every full-price purchase until graduation. All you have to do to redeem the discount is present your student ID.
And for non-students…
Victoria’s Secret is so not the only retailer with an amazing semi-annual sale. Ann Taylor’s semi-ANNual sale runs along a similar schedule (hurry, it’s going on right now!) with an additional 40% off already marked-down items. Tees for $12, pants for $50, and even wedding gowns for $200 make this sale worth checking out, which can conveniently be done in-stores or online.
Ann’s blog
Obviously, we love a great blog, and Ann Taylor’s is pretty stellar. Not only can you learn what the brand is up to, but the designers and directors of the retailer share their interests, fashion news, style tips and other information on the kinds of topics a chic, professional, modern women is interested in. Give this blog a shot and you’ll soon fall in love.
Returns and refunds
Ann Taylor lets you return even sale items for 60 days as long as you have a receipt. And if an item you purchased goes on sale within 7 days of your purchase, you can get money back on that, too. What can’t you get cash or store credit for? Final sale items. These clearance items include $10 blouses and skirts. Personally, for those prices, we’ll take the risk.
