Cartier de Lune is the French House’s first major women’s
scent since Délices de Cartier in 2006. Inspired by the white luminosity of the
night sky, Mathilde Laurent, Cartier’s in-house perfumer, has created a flowery
fragrance that is bright, delicate and soft, with top notes of pink pepper and
juniper berry; a heart of white rose, cyclamen and lily of the valley, and a
drydown of musk and wood.
Targeted at the younger Cartier woman, Cartier de Lune’s
packaging is a departure from its signature opulent scarlet, in favor of a blue-grey
and misty white color palette that is decidedly chic and calm. The exquisite
flacon is moonstone-inspired, in a milky blue shade with a silver metallic crown
engraved with a crescent moon. Pretty to look at with a subtly feminine nose,
this is a scent to take with you into the night.
