The Luxury-Insider.com team has always admired excellent
build quality and the Macbook Air delivers it in spades. Its aluminum unibody
construction and the singular vision and taste driving its ultra-thin design
reminds us of the work of our favorite luxury artisans and craftspeople. And so
it’s with considerable excitement that we greet news from multiple sources confirming the imminent release of the latest Macbook Air and Mac OS X Lion
software, with some pundits claiming the shipping to take place latest next
week.

While the exact specs for the latest iteration in Apple’s
hugely popular Macbook Air line haven’t been announced, industry watchers expect the
brand to introduce four new models this year, two with 11-inch screens and two
with 13-inch screens; all four will come with backlit keyboards and Sandy
Bridge processors for Thunderbolt,
the new high-capacity connection technology from Intel.

As for the Mac OS X Lion upgrade, fancy new features to look
out for include Multi-Touch gestures which will allow you to interact with
content on the screen, international Braille tables in a wide range of
languages, iPhoto faces, FaceTime calling from the address book, and social
networking incorporated into the address book.

Watch this space for updates on
the Apple products being rolled out in the coming weeks.
