The remains of a Mini Cooper have been fashioned into arguably the greatest gaming chair ever made. Priced at £8,000, the seat doesn’t come cheap but it does boast some excellent features.

The multi-function console chair is neatly tucked under the Mini Cooper’s hood, and when it’s revealed the first thing you’ll notice is a gaming wheel. Other features include a remote controlled smoke machine, a small fridge, iPod dock, headphones, a 500-watt amplifier, strobes, a laser, an Xbox and a PS3.

David Gawthorpe, who built the entertainment chair, said: “It’s a theatre-movie chair, a gaming chair, a workstation and a music centre. It would interact well plugged into a large TV for watching films. If you are watching Saving Private Ryan it has a vibration pad called the “Butt Kicker” that reacts to bullet sounds.”

It took Gawthorpe, 37, two year to build it.
