New-York
based jeweler Harry Winston is poised to open its first flagship store (not the one above) in China
next year. Slated for opening ‘before next January’, the flagship store is a
sprawling 460 square meters and will boast a 12-meter high façade, which, according
to a company spokesman, will become a “billboard to the world, a billboard to
the Chinese people.”

According
to media reports, the company has been vocal about its plans to expand into
China and might harbor plans to open up to 10 outlets in the world’s third
largest – after the United States and Japan – jewelry market.
