This year’s Boat Asia show sailed off to a festive start,
with a countdown party held at the trendy Pavilion at Customs House in Singapore.
More than 100 specially invited exhibitors, sponsors and Singapore’s
boating elite, looking spiffy in nautical-inspired threads, gathered for an
evening of champagne, revelry and networking set against the glittering Marina
Bay skyline.

Welcoming the crowd, Herman Ho, Managing Director of TMX
Show Productions, shared interesting show highlights, most notably the exclusive
Asian debut of yachts such as the Azimut 38 and the Chaparral 310.

Boat Asia, the region’s largest and longest
running boat show, will also be introducing two new milestone events for the
exhibition this year—the expansion of the show to The Promontory@Marina Bay,
and the BAY Challenge, Singapore’s first-ever city sailing match race at Marina
Bay.

The Luxury-Insider team will be posting news updates on Boat
Asia 2011, to be held from May 12-15,
