Much
to the delight of audiophiles and classic rock enthusiasts, Audio Fidelity has released 24-carat
gold CD versions of Carly
Simon’s 1972 No Secrets and Bad Company’s 1975 Straight Shooter. As part of a
program to re-issue – and thus preserve – classic rock and pop albums, the CDs
will be issued as numbered and limited editions.

Simon’s
third studio and breakthrough album, No
Secrets
was issued in 1972 and quickly climbed to No. 1 on Billboard’s
album chart. A blend of pop, jazz and blues, No Secrets featured the chart-topping “You’re So Vain” (with Mick Jagger on backing vocals) and
nine other Simon originals, including the whimsical jazz tune “The Carter
Family” and ballad “The Right Thing To Do”.

The
sophomore – and later triple-Platinum – album of British rock outfit Bad
Company, Straight Shooter was
released in 1975 and featured two hit singles, classic rock n’ roll number “Good
Lovin’ Gone Bad” and acoustic ballad “Feel Like Makin’ Love”.
