Audi has revealed plans to produce a special edition of its popular R8 V8 coupe, created in honor of the brand’s tenth victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, which took place June 11-12. The new model, reserved solely for British fans of the Audi brand, will be priced from
£93,935 and
have a limited-edition run of just 100 models.

While performance specifications for the special edition remain identical to the base coupe, which offers 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 300 km/h, it boasts head-turning GT-inspired 19-inch alloy wheels, featuring red brake callipers reminiscent of the Le Mans-winning model.
The exterior of the limited edition supercar will be swathed in a special titanium-effect coating, with
matching titanium-hued 19-inch double Y-spoke bit wheels, and outfitted with a set of flashy red brake calipers behind the wheels. Crimson nappa leather seats, red leather knee pads and passenger door handles complete the car’s sporty aesthetic.

For a well, winning driving experience, the new model will run on a spiffy satellite navigation system,
and comes with Audi Music Interface, a Bang and Olufsen sound system
and Bluetooth
hands-free calling.

The Audi R8 V8 Limited Edition will be available in coupé form only. Order books will open in July, with the first models expected to hit the roads in October 2011.
