What: Target previewed its newest designer collaboration with Calypso St. Barth and we got a sneak preview.

What They Say: Target is partnering with luxury lifestyle brand Calypso St. Barth to introduce an affordable, limited-edition collection for fashion and home. Calypso St. Barth for Target features apparel and accessories for women, girls and baby, as well as home goods including candles, decorative pillows, dinnerware, glassware and serving pieces. Ranging in price from $1.99 to $79.99, the collection will be available May 1 through June 11, 2011 at most Target stores and Target.com.

What We Say: Everything we like about Calypso St. Barth was present in the Target collection. That upscale, Hamptons look with bold colors and flowy fabrics, was definitely captured in the budget line and frankly after checking out this preview we were hard-pressed not to buy a one-way plane ticket to some place exotic—St. Barths comes to mind. Of course, we didn’t do this, and instead we moseyed over to the home goods section of the collaboration. Thumbs up, everyone. There were very cute plates and glasses, all with bold Calypso patterns. We particularly loved a decorative elephant teapot as well as some adorable throw pillows.
