What: Kmart has been revamping their apparel brands with more stylish on trend styles. They allowed TBF to take a peak at what fashions they have in store for all you budget fashionista’s this fall season.

What We Say: Although Kmart is an affordable chain store we were never crazy about any of the fashions they had to offer, especially if you were not shopping the juniors section. Unraveling threads and so so styles has had us skeptical when it comes to shopping for clothes at Kmart. Well, this year Kmart is doing a 180 and has revamped their apparel collections . For the fall season you will be seeing two new celebrity brands, Sofia Vergara’s and Selena Gomez’s Dream Out Loud line.

We know that celebrity clothing lines have been over done, so we viewed both Sofia Vergara’s and Selena Gomez’s lines with an extra critical eye. Sofia’s line actually spoke to her personal style. Her collection consisted of body con dresses, mini skirts, lots of animal prints, and a super cute faux leather biker jacket. Selena Gomez line was filled with colorful plaid tops and plaid messenger bags which came off quite tacky and a bevy of t-shirts. Nothing really stole the show for us with Selena’s line. Veteran Kmart lines Jaclyn Smith and Attention both offered sophisticated styles that spoke to the corporate woman who needs a wardrobe that commands attention at work and that is casual chic enough for the weekends. We adored a faux fur wrap coat and a short leopard print coat from the Attention collection. Jaclyn Smith caught our eye with her super cute bow embellished ankle booties and a grey plaid funnel neck coat.

Kmart’s newly revamped plus size line which is called Love Your Size, Love Your Style didn’t totally wow us with style. However, a few pieces like the ruffled hem camisoles and floral print tops and dresses did intrigue us. As usual Route 66 and Bongo brands were packed with on trend pieces like colorful denim, tops and sweaters with fun prints, cool jackets like a tan aviator jacket, and super cute colorful suede flat knee boots. Teens would not be disappointed when their parents start back to school shopping for them. All of Kmart’s apparel brands did have stylish pieces for every age and the price points were just right for those of us who are penny pincher’s but want a little bang or should we say style for our buck.
