Wide-leg pants have been a staple in our collective closets since we spotted Drew Barrymore on the red carpet rocking a pair of floor-skimming trousers from the then Stella McCartney-helmed Chloe. This season, the style is going for extra credit, now ballooning into an ultra-cool sort of palazzo pant.

We saw them on the runways at Theyskens’ Theory and admired them from afar, but weren’t entirely convinced we could pull them off. But, oh, how things have changed. Since then, we’ve seen many fashionable types wearing them (including Vogue‘s Meredith Melling Burke) rocking them quite confidently and not only do they look comfortable, the proportions make anyone’s waist appear absolutely tiny. – Pair with a silk bouse (buttoned all the way up) and a towering platform heel and you are good to go.
– Drape a blazer over your shoulders and you might as well be in Paris.
