What: We swung by the preview for Irina Shabayeva’s new INC International Concepts line for Macy’s which will launch on February 19^th in 50 Macy’s stores.

What They Say: “Irina Shabayeva, Project Runway’s Season Six winner, injects some adrenaline into Spring/Summer 2011’s line up with the launch of her new collection with Macy’s…Irina for INC is a sportswear collection that evolved out of the notion of movement and dance…Colors and patterns took a cue from Rubik’s Cube, with strong strokes of bubble-gum brights and rich jewel tones creating bold color blocking on shifts, dresses and tunics.”

What we say: The most interesting part of this whole event? The venue. The top level of Trump Soho is pretty spectacular. As for the clothing by Irina Shabayeva, there were one or two items that we might wear as basics—a simple form-fitting dress, a nude jacket—but otherwise…yawn. We guess it’s interesting to see a Project Runway winner actually do something (other than Christian Siriano for Payless Shoes), but if it isn’t worth wearing then we’re not spending our hard earned dough just because she won some TV show.
