With more
than a century’s worth of history, Cartier Watches has embraced modern
technology to share its rich heritage to horologists and watch connoisseurs.
The Cartier Fine Watchmaking application, recently launched for use on Apple’s
iPad, will allow users a rare glimpse into the rarefied world of fine
watch-making.

With several
updates planned throughout the year, the app utilises film, 3D imaging and
detailed views of watch movements and complications to offer an immersive
experience for tech-savvy users.

The Cartier Fine Watchmaking app will also provide a complete presentation of the timepieces in the Cartier Fine Watchmaking Collection, such as the Rotonde de Cartier Astrotourbillon and the Ballon bleu de Cartier Flying Tourbillon. Users of the app will also get the opportunity to preview two of the major models to be introduced at the 2011 SIHH: the Calibre de Cartier Multiple Time Zone and the Rotonde de Cartier Astrorégulateur.
