The latest addition to his transportation-focused design portfolio, Michael van Vuuren’s Road Yacht is the hybrid of a vintage car and
luxuriant yacht. A vehicle for the swanky rich, the Road Yacht wowed the judges and cinched 3rd prize at the Auto(r) Design Contest (young
designers category) in 2011. Divided into a top and bottom compartment, the silhouette of the Road Yacht was inspired by yacht designs that were popular with Russian billionaires. The embellishment of the gold rims adds an extra touch of opulence to the mammoth carrier.
