Rolls-Royce Singapore celebrated the centenary year of its iconic Spirit of Ecstasy with a specially themed gala dinner at the Shangri-La Singapore. The Spirit of Ecstasy, the famous flying lady mascot which adorns every Rolls-Royce motor car bonnet, is one of the most famous automotive icons in the world. The programme for the glamorous evening included the unveiling of a limited edition, the bespoke Phantom Extended Wheelbase. The car, which is only one of one hundred Rolls-Royce motor cars available worldwide, is part of the unique “Spirit of Ecstasy Centenary Collection‟.

Some 100 hundred owners and friends attended this exclusive by-invitation evening to celebrate the milestone.Mr Rob Kilty, the company’s Bespoke Process and Product Manager who flew in from the United Kingdom to brief guests on the new car said: “The superb detailing on this car, both on the exterior and interior, mark this bespoke car out from anything we have done before. Combined with the occasion of the Centennial Year, this makes for a very exclusive car.”

Also showcased for the first time in Asia were a set of images which are part of the Rankin: Spirit of Ecstasy collection, a special art commission that features 100 visuals captured by renowned photographer Rankin. The audience was also treated to a Spirit of Ecstasy inspired stage presentation telling the story of the Spirit of Ecstasy through the eyes of Charles Sykes, who sculptured the automotive icon.

A new badge has been developed to authenticate the Collection and
establish its place in Rolls-Royce history. Located beneath the Spirit
of Ecstasy, on the trunk lid as well as on front side panels, the badge
reverses conventional design, with white enamel RR detail set on a black
chrome background.

A special analogue clock is fitted in the fascia panel on the Limited Edition cars, the outer bezel of which is crafted from Britannia Silver, incorporating the unique set of six hallmarks. The backlit face presents an inner ring of silver incorporating the centenary inscription.

Table settings for the invitation-only event included a specially engraved Spirit of Ecstasy for guests.
